In technical terms the essential oils used in the Raindrop Technique uses a specific sequence of essential oils that are highly antimicrobial to simultaneously reduce inflammation and destroy viral agents that can be responsible for many problems.

The single (not blended) oils found to be instrumental to the Raindrop Technique include:

  • Basil (Ocimum basilicum)
  • Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
  • Marjoram (Origanum majorana)
  • Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens)
  • Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens)
  • Oregano (Origanum compactum)
  • Peppermint (Mentha piperita)
  • These oils are lightly dropped onto your back from about six inches, and why the Raindrop Technique got its name. After they have been dropped onto your back, they are then gently massaged along the spine and into the back muscles.
